Youth on the Adriatic

From September 11th to 13th, the international conference “Youth on the Adriatic” was held in Split, bringing together young people, representatives of youth councils, youth organizations, and local governments from the region.

Tivat was represented by Olivera Mišković Vidojević, the Secretary of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Chair of the Tivat Municipality Youth Council, youth policy advisor Irena Barac, and youth representative Danilo Milašević.

During the conference, discussions focused on improving youth policy, youth participation in decision-making, education, future careers, sustainable tourism, and other topics important to young people.

A special highlight was the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Tivat Municipality Youth Council and the Split City Youth Council, which outlines the exchange of experiences and information, as well as the possibility of carrying out joint projects, workshops, and training sessions.

Participation in the conference represents another opportunity to connect the youth and youth structures of Tivat with partners from the region and the exchange of best practice examples in the field of youth policy.
